It has been a few years since the Ferrari FXX-K Evo was released to the world but even so, it remains one of the best-sounding supercars ever.

Ferrari first unveiled the LaFerrari-based FXX-K in late 2014 and built just 40 examples. A couple of years later, the even more remarkable FXX-K Evo was launched, producing 23 per cent more downforce than the normal FXX-K and 75 per cent more than a road-going LaFerrari. As with other models from Ferrari’s XX program, owners have the opportunity to drive their cars at various track events around the world.

Last year, Ferrari hosted a special event at the Mugello Circuit in Italy for its most exclusive clientele and YouTuber MattyB727 has just published a video from the day that shows an FXX-K Evo being pushed to its limits at the track.

The FXX-K Evo featured in this video is number 59 and is owned by a Danish man who is clearly comfortable pushing the car to its limits, despite the fact that it could be worth in excess of $5 million. Then there’s the sound. Oh, the sound.

Like the LaFerrari, the FXX-K Evo is powered by a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine but it has been tuned to pump out 848 hp at 9,200 rpm and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque from 6,500 rpm. The car also features an electric motor that lifts total output to 1,036 hp and 730 lb-ft (900 Nm).
