The FXX K Evo is one of the most expensive and desirable track-only hypercars, to which only special members of Ferrari’s Corse Clienti Program have access. One of them though, had a pretty rough weekend last month at the Mugello circuit, where his Ferrari was seriously damaged.

The photo of the aftermath was posted on Instagram by Supercar Fails, showing the wrecked hypercar loaded on a flatbed truck. The incident reportedly happened during the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali 2021 last November, at the Mugello Circuit in Italy, and thankfully there were no injuries.

While most commenters made quick assumptions about the cause of the accident, some users noted that it wasn’t the driver’s fault as he was hit by another car during an unexpected overtake. The picture is showing damage on the front splitter, bumper, bonnet, and fender, while both the front and rear wheels seem to be way out of angle hinting at more serious issues with the suspension and axles. Given the value of the vehicle and the fact that it spends a lot of time in Ferrari’s headquarters, we are sure it will return to a showroom condition even before the next event takes place.

Ferrari launched the FXX K in 2014 as a track-only variant of the La Ferrari. Only 40 units came out of the Maranello factory with some of them being upgraded to the FXX K Evo specification since 2017. Each year, Ferrari hosts eight or nine track events for members of the Corse Clienti program in various racetracks around the world.
