The Apollo Intensa Emozione is one of the most outlandish road-legal cars ever conceived and despite there being just 10 examples in existence, the brave owner of one recently let the automaker test their car on the Nurburgring.
The Apollo IE was developed alongside HWA, an experienced German racing team that was once part of Mercedes-AMG.
Power comes courtesy of a Ferrari-derived 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 that has been extensively modified and churns out 780 hp and 560 lb-ft (759 Nm) of torque. While there are many electrified supercars and hypercars out there with much more power and torque, the IE is one of the best-sounding cars produced in recent memory and is more than fast enough.

The owner of this particular example, finished in a wild chameleon-style paint scheme, handed the keys over to one of Apollo’s development drivers for the test. While he wasn’t pushing the car to its limits, he was driving it quick enough to show what it is capable of and to perfectly showcase that extraordinary V12.
Each example of the Apollo IE costs close to €3 million ($3.04 million) but it’s not just the value of the car that prompted the driver to take things easy. In fact, the car had less than 300 miles (482 km) on the clock when it hit the track, meaning it and the V12 still needed to be broken in.
This particular IE is owned by an entrepreneur named Michael Loke and isn’t the only eye-catching performance car in his collection. Indeed, he also has a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 and is the owner of the one-off Koenigsegg Agera RS ML.
