A Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster adorned with a pink and chrome wrap has been destroyed in a fiery crash in the United States.

The Italian supercar, owned by collector Bryan Salamone, is one of the most recognizable examples of the Aventador SVJ and previously starred in a Nicki Minaj music video. Sadly, it is no more after being burned to a crisp and completely destroyed.

It is understood that Salamone was driving the Lamborghini on a highway when he was struck by another vehicle. He reportedly lost control and slammed into a concrete barrier at high speed. The Aventador SVJ then immediately caught fire and Salamone was pulled from the car by an eyewitness.

Images and videos shared to social media of the inferno show that the entire car was engulfed in flames immediately after the crash. Given that just 800 examples of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster were produced worldwide, it’s a shame to see one wrecked like this but cars can be replaced. What’s more important is that the owner survived the crash and inferno.

A browse online indicates that it may have been the driver of a black Lamborghini Huracan that cut off Salamone and triggered the crash, although this remains unconfirmed.

Salamone’s Aventador SVJ Roadster is particularly famous as he frequently brought the car to events and let children sit in it and experience what it is like behind the wheel of an expensive mid-engined supercar. Prior to his SVJ being adorned with a pink chrome wrap, it had a fluroscent chrome wrap and at one stage was even equipped with a bike rack.
