Honda has announced that the Accord will be its first vehicle to feature built-in integration of Google applications through its infotainment system. That will allow owners to download things like Google Maps and Google Assistant.
The technology will be embedded as standard into the range-topping Accord Touring, which features the largest infotainment touchscreen that has ever been installed in a Honda. Those owners, though, won’t have to touch anything, because they will be able to control their vehicle with voice commands thanks to Google Assistant. They will also be able to easily call or text a friend, set reminders, or change the temperature in the vehicle.
Google Assistant will also be able to control Google Maps, which can set a destination, lead you there on the fastest or the most fuel-efficient route, and set additional stops on the way. In addition, owners will be able to download other Google apps, as well as third-party podcast and music apps through the Google Play store straight onto their infotainment system.

The Honda Accord made its debut on November 10, featuring a sleek new design, new powertrains, and a higher-tech interior. As we mentioned, it features an optional 12.3-inch infotainment screen, or a standard seven-inch touchscreen, as well as a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. In addition to its big screen and built-in Google apps, the Accord Touring also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
The 11th-generation Accord gets a variety of drivetrains, but the Touring trim is powered by a hybrid 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine backed up by a pair of electric motors. All combined, they give the car 204 hp (152 kW/207 PS) and 247 lb-ft (335 Nm) of torque, as well as a more responsive and refined highway driving experience.
The 2023 Honda Accord arrives in dealerships starting next month, and prices for the new sedan will be revealed soon.
