Influencers across the globe have special access to all sorts of high-end sports cars, supercars, and hypercars but that doesn’t mean they have the skill to pilot such vehicles. In one now-viral case, a Lamborghini driver crashed into a Toyota Prius during a drag race with another Lamborghini. Now, a video shows the incident and it’s clear that the car had a lot more power under the hood than it did skill in the cabin.

Early in September, the Murrieta Police Department posted about the illegal street race between the two Lamborghini Huracans. Authorities said that during the race, one driver smashed into a Prius and ended up in the hospital briefly before going to jail. The Toyota driver escaped serious injury and the second Lamborghini driver fled the scene.

Photos taken at the scene show an extensively damaged Italian supercar. The front end is completely gone and the Prius didn’t fare too much better. Since then, details of the incident have become more clear.

Authorities confirmed to local news Patch.com that the injured Lamborghini driver was Austin Harmon, an influencer known in part for harassing a homeless person with a Lamborghini in the past. As a result of this incident, he is facing charges of reckless driving and illegal speed contest, and is set to appear in court in November.

A new video submitted to The Drive shows the accident in question. The two supercars take off from a roll and Harmon appears to simply lose control despite driving in a straight line. The video ends as he contacts the Prius. It’s still unclear who the other driver was but this video appears to make things harder for Harmon in court.
