It’s no secret that personalization sells, and for brands like Bentley, customization programs are the ultimate form of expression. Roughly 25 percent of the cars that leave Bentley’s production facility do so with the Mulliner tag attached. It’s the signal that the buyer has had a hand in the design process. Starting today, those buyers have even wilder options to choose from.
It’s not as if customers didn’t already have a wide array of textures, colors, and other upgrades to pick. The brand said that there are a cool 46 billion configurations available and that was in March. We struggle to do the math on how many there must be now.

That’s because the new features and options aren’t just a few paint colors. First, the brand is offering new open pore wood veneers. Treated with 90 percent less lacquer than a high-gloss finish, these trim pieces retain the natural look and feel of the original grain. Bentley calls out a few specific types, Vavona and Liquid Amber, in its announcement.
On top of that, buyers now have four new carbon fiber color tints to choose from, including Damson, Kingfisher Blue, Imperial Blue, and Cumbrian Green. Buyers can pick from several different front console panels as well, with pinstriped veneers, open pore wood, or one of 100+ paint colors. Mulliner also added what it’s calling Wave, a new technical finish metal panel available for the center console.
Tweed door inserts are also new and available in five patterns, including Cheltenham, Glen Plaid, Charcoal Herringbone, Sand Herringbone, and Damson. The customization doesn’t stop on the dash or upholstery, though. Those who add the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system can now choose the color of their speaker grilles. There were already five different available colors and now there are three more, Kingfisher, Pillar Box Red, and Mandarin.
Essentially, this program allows any Bentley customer with the cash a blank canvas. We’ve seen some great examples of that and some less amazing ones. At the end of the day, when you pay this much for a car, at least you can say it’s truly yours.
