Toyota is celebrating the Corolla’s 60th anniversary with a new special edition. It combines additional equipment with exclusive styling tweaks.
Based on the SE Hybrid, the 2027 Corolla 60th Anniversary Special Edition features an Ice Cap or Supersonic Red exterior. The latter is unique to the car and pairs nicely with the two-tone 18-inch wheels, which are also exclusive to the model.

The upgrades don’t end there as the car ditches the traditional SE badging. Instead, it adopts “60th Anniversary” decals on the rear doors.
Interior changes are more modest, but the special edition features black and red sport seats as well as a 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia System. They’re joined by 60th Anniversary door sill plates and floor mats.
Power is provided by a hybridized 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS). It enables the regular car to return up to 53 mpg city, 46 mpg highway, and 50 mpg combined
Production is limited to 2,500 units and the special edition is scheduled to arrive at dealerships early next year. Toyota didn’t mention pricing, but the 2027 Corolla Hybrid SE starts at $27,615.
Besides the special edition, Toyota introduced the 2027 Corolla. It largely carries over, but gains a new black paint job known as Inked. Buyers will also find a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder developing 169 hp (126 kW / 171 PS) and 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) of torque, alongside the aforementioned hybrid.
The standard Corolla arrives at dealerships this fall for $23,325 before a $1,295 destination fee. That’s $200 more than its predecessor, which began at $23,125.
