Porsche’s plans of keeping the interior design of the second-gen Panamera a secret until its official presentation have been overturned by a leaked image.

Posted by 911legendsneverdie, the photo reveals a design that mirrors the one of the next generation Porsche Cayenne, with fresh and modern looks and a tablet-style display taking center stage on the dashboard, expected to be 12-inch in size, fitted on top of the air vents.

The central console has done away with the previous model’s button overkill, relying instead on a touch controls and screens interface for a much cleaner look.

On the outside, the upcoming iteration will be inspired by the 2012 Sport Turismo Concept and will be underpinned by the VW Group’s MSB platform, shared with the new Bentley Continental, which will help it shed up to 100 kg (220 lbs) from its current weight.

The engine lineup will be new turbocharged V6 and V8 units along with a hybrid. The Panamera II will also have shooting brake version, dubbed Panamera Sport Turismo, which will go on sale in the United States too.

Porsche is believed to unveil the new Panamera this October at the Paris Auto Show.

Update: This is not an official photo of the Panamera’s interior but a Photoshop from Autobild
