The official line is that a successor to the LFA is not currently being considered.

On the other hand, the Japanese supercar with its sonorous V10 has had such an impact on petrolheads and succeeded in its role as Lexus’ halo car that this might very well change in the future.

What we have here then is a drawing that’s meant to represent a fictional successor, tentatively named the LF-LA. The man behind this project is Yang Sun from California, who uploaded his designs on Behance before sharing them with the rest of the world.

We also get to see what inspired the designer to go with this overall shape and these specific lines. He looked at a lot of cone shapes, as well as a couple of flowing seashell-like structures that went into building the car’s roof and midsection.

The final design may not have any rear or side windows, but that’s why we went ahead and called it a concept. It’s certainly futuristic enough.
