Since it’s already been confirmed that Bumblebee will be getting his own spin-off movie in two years’ time, Michael Bay made sure the Autobot got a new appearance in robot form, to match this latest-gen bespoke Camaro he’ll be transforming into.

The ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ director just released this image on his Twitter feed, showing off the character in all of its updated glory. Even the mask is more aggressive, with a few insect-like features to go with overall more dynamic exterior. And yes, we’re still talking about a robot.

As for the car-form, we’ve already seen the previously mentioned bespoke Camaro with its custom front splitter, side skirts, rear spoiler and fender intakes. A closer look at the robot reveals that the front splitter will actually detach, split in half and lower itself somewhere around the character’s “ribcage” section.

Let us know what you think about the new-look Bumblebee, especially how it compares to the old, slightly more retro design the character had in the first couple of Transformers movies.

Right now, we’re a little under a year away from actually watching Transformers: The Last Knight (June 23rd 2017 release date), starring Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins and Josh Duhamel.
