Following some teaser images and a short video released recently, The Hoonigans are back with the ninth installment of the famous Gymkhana series.

Gymkhana Nine: Raw Industrial Playground is filmed in Buffalo, New York, which might not be as exotic as LA or Dubai, the locations of the previous two films respectively but it certainly does the trick.

The latest footage does not disappoint, as it combines screeching tires, an insanely fast car, and Block’s superb driving skills into 8 minutes and 10 seconds of pure fun.

Speaking of the car, Ken Block has dropped the Mustang Hoonicorn and the Ford Fiesta RX43 that were previously used in Gymkhana 7 and 8, respectively, in favor of a brand new Ford Focus RS RX, which has been designed especially for him to race in the World Rallycross Championship.

The monster hot hatch comes with a bespoke wide-body kit, underbody protection, special suspension, huge brakes and a 600 horsepower and 660 lb-ft (895 Nm) version of the Blue Oval’s EcoBoost engine mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox.

However, this is actually the first time we witness the racer being unleashed outside of the racetrack and, as this video stands proof, the Focus RS RX is more than capable to withstand everything Mr. Block has up his sleeve.
