It’s not secret that Audi is developing a new RS5. As a matter of fact, prototypes have been spied testing many times in recent months.

What does remain somewhat of an unknown is just what the new Audi RS5 will look like, but thanks to Theophilus Chin, we now have a fairly good idea of what to expect.

We know that the new RS5 will be based around the recently facelifted A5 family, meaning we will see the same updated headlights and taillights as the rest of the family.

Some of the unique styling features depicted in these renderings are the blacked out front grille, black splitter and black lower air intake surrounds. Additionally, there are black side skirts, wing mirrors and a subtle rear chin spoiler affixed to the bumper, as well as a new rear diffuser, oval tailpipes and a small bootlid lip spoiler.

Of course the most interesting element of the RS5 presented is that it has been imagined in Sportback form. We know that the RS5 will initially be available as a coupe and, while no word has been given from Audi about a potential five-door, such a variant is possible and could act as the perfect rival to the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 sedan.
