Beautifully Restored Porsche 993 Turbo Is A Sight To Behold

What could possibly be better than a brand new Porsche 911? Well, a 991 Turbo, from the 993 generation, freshly restored, would make for a pretty good candidate.

Manufactured in 1995 and coming with a wider and lower stance, bigger brakes, fatter tires and a 3.6-liter twin-turbo, flat-six engine, with 408 horsepower pushed to all four corners, it needed just 3.7 seconds to sprint from naught to sixty miles per hour (96 km/h), back when it was brand new, and it could go up to 180 mph (290 km/h).

Twenty one summers later, and with 66,712 miles (107,363 km) on its odo, the German sports car still looks brand new, after going through a complete restoration process, one that included a fully repainted body, re-trimmed interior in fresh cream perforated leather, wheel and brake refurbishment, and a new exhaust system, among others.

It was supplied new to the United Kingdom on August 16, 1995, and until March 2005 it has had five owners. The sixth has been its custodian ever since and is also responsible for returning it back to its former glory and will now try to depart with it, as the 911 Turbo will cross the auction block on October 15, during Silverstone’s Porsche Sale 2016.

Key info that would interest a serious bidder are the over 200 hours spent flatting and polishing its exterior after restoration was complete, the service book that proves its mileage, tool kit, leather wallet, owner’s manual, and spare key. The fact that it’s in right-hand drive could be a drawback, and so could its estimated selling price: £115,000-£130,000 ($149,042-$168,483).
