During one of the most severe Nurburgring crashes of the year, this Suzuki Swift hit the barriers three times before coming to a halt on all four wheels.

We can’t be absolutely certain, but driver error seems to be the most probable cause since there’s no reason to brush up against the wall in that particular section unless you’ve seriously misjudged your speed.

After the initial crash, the Swift hit the other barrier – only this time it was a much more violent impact that lifted the car upwards at an angle.

Luckily, the occupants weren’t hurt and the car didn’t flip over despite it looking like it would for a split second after the larger impact. The airbags also deployed, though only did so just before the car came to rest, following a less harsh side-impact.
