All-New Mazda CX-5 Looks Confident In Fight Against Toyota RAV4

With reviews of Mazda's new CX-5 starting to roll it, it's becoming clear that this might be the segment conquering SUV you were looking for.

If the wider exterior and improved road presence doesn't do it for you, the revised high-quality interior just might, with its 10-speaker Bose premium sound system, Mazda Connect infotainment system and extras such as the heads up display.

In order to find out just how good the new CX-5 is, AutoGuide put it up against a 2017 Toyota RAV4, one of the most practical and popular models in this segment.

Right off the bat, reviewer Sami Haj-Assaad notices how the Toyota doesn't feel quite as sophisticated as the CX-5, even though interior quality is decent. As for space, the CX-5 has more room for the passengers, whereas the RAV4 will allow you to carry more luggage in its boot.

In the end, while there's no disputing the RAV4's reputation, the all-new Mazda CX-5 does seem to target buyers who appreciate near-premium build quality levels.
