It’s finally summer in the northern hemisphere, so why not treat yourself with a luxury compact convertible such as the BMW 4-Series?

If you can’t pay the sticker price, however, or are simply not interested in buying one, then you can enjoy it in a POV test drive.

The model seen here is in the facelifted 420i Convertible, which uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder to push 184 PS (181 hp) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. The naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 8.2 seconds and top speed stands at 230 km/h (143 mph).

In Germany, the 420i Convertible starts from €47,700, while in the United States the base version is the 430i, which retails from $50,550. Better be careful when ticking the boxes on the options list, though, or else you may end up looking at a significantly higher final price.
