On July 27, the next-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom will be revealed to the world.

Set to be radically overhauled compared to the outgoing model, the new car will be underpinned by an all-aluminum platform and push the company forward towards an entirely new generation of vehicles, including its very first SUV.

For the moment, the existing Phantom, as well as all the models it has spawned, is still class-leading and as Doug DeMuro recently discovered when driving the Wraith, this is all for a very good reason.

Unlike many other vehicles on the market, the Wraith and by extension, the Phantom, isn’t trying to be sporty, affordable, practical, luxurious and refined but rather focuses solely on offering the most comfortable automotive experience in the world. When you are driving a Wraith, you simply don’t have a single care in the world, Doug says.

To exceed its predecessor, the new Phantom will have to be a revelation. We can’t wait.
