What do you do if you own a McLaren Senna and you’re tired of racing against road-bound opponents? You race a helicopter, of course.
The following battle between McLaren’s track-focused hypercar and a helicopter was held at the recent Hublot Diamond Rally in Canada and filmed by YouTuber Daily Driven Exotics. We don’t know a great deal about helicopters but it seems apparent that this one is faster than most others.
Off the line, both the Senna and the helicopter accelerate at virtually identical speeds. However, once the McLaren changes through its first set of gears and starts to put its power to the ground without any wheel spin, it quickly rockets ahead of the helicopter.

Arriving at an event or destination in either a McLaren Senna or a private helicopter is a sure-fire way to show off your wealth. With just 500 units scheduled to be produced, it is the McLaren that you’re far less likely to see in public, making it arguably a more desirable purchase. That is, of course, unless you’re talking about a custom helicopter which costs as much as a mansion in the Hollywood Hills.
Beyond its extreme bodywork, the McLaren Senna features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine pumping out 789 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. Even though the car sends all of its power to the rear wheels, it is able to accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds before topping out at 211 mph (340 km/h).
