Like the G90 sedan, Genesis’ first SUV, the GV80, has an oversized grille with a certain Superman shield feel about it.
Set to launch in 2021, Genesis’ new G70 luxury SUV is coming for BMW’s X3 / X4 and Audi’s Q5.
The all-new 2020 Genesis GV80 will most likely debut at the LA Auto Show next month.
The Genesis GV70 will go up against the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and the like.
If it is, the company’s first crossover could be a hit.
The redesigned G80 will have its world debut in September in South Korea and arrive in the U.S. in late 2019.
Genesis’ first SUV will borrow heavily from the GV80 Concept from a styling standpoint – and that’s a good thing.
The new G80 should sport a drastically overhauled front fascia similar to the one previewed by the GV80 concept.
The upcoming crossover could have a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine with 365 hp.
Set to debut later this year, the 2020 GV80 will become the first crossover from Genesis.
The company’s first SUV shares some of the design elements first seen on the GV80 Concept and the new G90.
The facelifted Genesis G90 will be unveiled on November 27th.
