No, NC is not an abbreviation of a Russian region, as some of you may have hastily thought after reading about guns, fistfights and a road rage incident caught on camera in the same sentence, but for North Carolina.

The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office released mobile footage of an altercation that took place at around 1 p.m. Sunday, March 24, just off U.S. 70 in the Newport area.

In the cell-phone clip, we see 40 year-old Bradley Turner getting out of his SUV and heading towards a Chevrolet pickup truck in front making a comment about the other driver trying to run him off the road before taking a swipe at him.

In a split second, the young driver and front passenger of the truck jumped out and assaulted Turner beating him to the ground, at which point, Turner’s wife, 30-year old Christy, calmly exits the car and hands a gun to her husband who fired a shot to the ground.

According to the Sun Journal, Major Jason Wank with the sheriff’s office said that video released “is only a small portion of the full incident and does not show the shots that were fired at the truck” later on. Wank added that the video was filmed by a third passenger in the Chevrolet truck that had pulled into a residential driveway at the time.

The sheriff’s office was informed about the incident from the unnamed passengers of the Chevrolet truck after Turner fired at them for a second time. After investigators released the cell-phone footage of the fight, the couple turned themselves in and is now facing a multitude of charges.

In particular, Bradley Turner has been charged with discharging a weapon into property, two counts of assault by pointing a gun, going armed to the terror of the people, injury to personal property, and assault, while his wife Christy, was charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun

According to the deputies, no one was hurt from the gunshots. So, what do you think about this episode? Tell us in the comments below.
