Looking through the high-end classifieds you will most likely stumble upon a few racing cars for sale, including F1 single-seaters, although most of them don’t have the racing pedigree to live up to expectations. But not this particular 2007 Subaru WRX STI.

Just imagine this automobile with the iconic Subaru WRC livery on it, because it was driven by none other than Petter Solberg and Colin McRae. Okay, McRae took it only for a spin at the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed, on one of his last public appearance before his death, but Solberg apparently drove it too in the same year at numerous World Rally Championship events.

But before you decide to spend £159,500 (about $231,000) of your hard earned cash on it, it’s worth mentioning that it was completely rebuilt – which may explain the right-hand-drive “conversion”; it also received a new 2.0-litre turbo boxer engine with 350 km on the clock since completion. But don’t expect heaps of power coming from it, as it was limited to “only” 300 hp in order to meet FIA WRC restrictions.

The seller says the car is in “showroom condition” and it also comes with FIA Gold Technical Passport log.
