James Towers and his 12-year old son Jacob were out for a drive in a modified Chevrolet Camaro when flames suddenly engulfed the car’s interior.
James was driving his 700hp second-gen Camaro when suddenly smoke started coming out of the center console, followed by flames.
Both passengers escaped with only minor burns as Towers said in a YouTube comment.
“Yes… me and my 12 year old were going for a cruise and he was taking the video with my phone… fuel line cap blew off and sprayed fuel into the firewall and the fire came up into the interior of the car. We got out with only a couple of minor burns”, he wrote.
Towers also posted a video showing the damages on his car. The whole cabin was destroyed with fire damage also on the firewall but the rest of the car looks definitely salvageable. This was one lucky escape.
