Daimler has already announced a Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster for 2017, but it seems that the sports car could make its first appearance as early as this fall’s Paris Motor Show.

Believed to slot between the GT S and the recently unveiled GT R, the new Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster will adopt a folding soft-top and is rumored to benefit from some of the upgrades of the latter, but what exactly will be carried on is not clear at the moment.

Interestingly, a report published by Motoring states that the GT C Roadster won;t be the only fresh model in the German brand’s range to debut at the French event, as it could be joined by a base GT Roadster. However, this version did not appear anywhere on the road map that was carefully tucked inside Daimler’s half-year sales results, so we’re taking the info with a pinch of salt until the Paris auto show opens its gates on September 29, beginning with the press days.

2017 will bring an avalanche of fresh Mercedes-Benz vehicles on the market, as besides the aforementioned GT C Roadster, the company will also lift the veils off the GT C Coupe. The E-Class Coupe, E-Class Cabriolet, and Merc’s answer to the Audi A6 Allroad, the E-Class All Terrain, will also go on sale next year, joined by the pickup truck expected to be dubbed GLT, a facelifted version of the GLA compact crossover and the tweaked S-Class.
