Mark Webber will soon take to the streets of London in Porsche’s 919 Hybrid endurance racer, passing through some of the city’s most iconic areas.

Remarkably, the near four mile demonstration run won’t see any roads blocked off exclusively for the 2015 championship winner and his Le Mans-triumphing 919. Instead, the Australian will be sharing the road with everyday commuters between 6 am and 7 am local time.

With that being said, he will be surrounding by a rolling road block of eight local police vehicles.

The route will see the 919 Hybrid passing Park Lane, Charing Cross, Embankment, Parliament Square, Piccadilly Circus and Westminster Bridge.

According to Webber, “This will be the first time ever that the Porsche 919 Hybrid has been driven on a public road. I’m stoked to be behind the wheel – it’s going to be pretty cool.”
