Over a hundred Tesla Model S owners in Norway are suing the electric automaker after claiming the vehicle simply isn’t quick enough.

In total, 126 owners of the Model S P85D are looking for reimbursement after discovering that the vehicle delivers 469 hp instead of the claimed 691 hp.

In an email to Bloomberg, a lawyer representing the plantiffs said that the vehicle “has too low horsepower…And of course, it affects the car’s performance, according to the consumers.”

Of course, reports about the P85D not delivering as much power as originally claimed are nothing new. In fact, it first emerged some 12 months ago that the vehicle didn’t deliver the claimed 691 hp after Tesla initially marketed that horsepower figure by simply combining the individual power outputs of the two electric motors. A host of other factors, including the level of charge, alter horsepower ratings however.

Unsurprisingly, Tesla is rejecting the claims of these Norwegain owners saying that the vehicle meets requirements “according to the measurement method required by the authorities”.
