BMW‘s SUV lineup will soon include seven different models, and a new X3 is one of them.

Seen here is yet another prototype of premium compact SUV that will challenge the likes of the Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC, and even if it’s not the rumored X3 M, it still is quite fast around the track.

BMW’s new SUV will be using the modular CLAR architecture that will result in the third-gen X3 losing some weight compared to its predecessor.

Not much is known about its design since scooped prototypes continue to be wrapped up in camouflage up to their teeth, but more light should be shed on the SUV sometimes next year, when it’s expected to be presented. Word on the street has it that it will go on sale in the second half of 2017 in Europe and on the other side of the Atlantic shortly after.
