Full technical details and photos of the Tata Hexa have been revealed before the model hits the Indian market in January 2017, RushLane reports.

The model was first previewed in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015 and in production-guise, has been created to cater “for those with an active and dynamic lifestyle”, says Tata, which calls the Hexa a ‘lifestyle vehicle’.

Customers will be limited to just a single engine option, a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel delivering 156 PS (153 hp) and a rather impressive 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Both a six-speed manual and six-speed auto will be available. The stick shift boasts four different driving modes; Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road while the auto has Sports and Auto modes. Both send power to all four wheels.

Inside, the Hexa has been fitted with the brand’s ConnectNext infotainment system that includes a 5-inch touch screen designed by Harman which has voice recognition and smart phone integration. Additionally, a 10-speaker system from JBL comes standard as does iPod connectivity, Bluetooth audio streaming, satellite navigation and a rear view camera.

Other features include 8-way adjustable front seats, a dual climate control system, cruise control, smart USB charging points and rain sensing wipers.

In terms of safety systems, the Hexa includes ESP, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control and traction control.
