Thanks to a recent image from an enthusiast website, we know what Kia’s long-awaited GT sports sedan will look like. Now, we have an idea of just how sporty it will be.

In the lead-up to the vehicle’s debut, Kia has launched a website dedicated to the model, The Curve Ahead, with a countdown clock ticking down until January 8, 2017, indicating that the model will celebrate its world debut at the Detroit Auto Show.

The website also includes the first episode in a series showcasing the development of the car. This particular clip reveals it testing at the famed Nurburgring where it managed to hit 244 km/h (151 mph) along the track’s famed straight.

Power for the GT is expected to come from the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 of the Genesis G80 and delivering in excess of 365 hp. An eight-speed automatic transmission is expected to come standard but a manual may also be available.
