Earlier this week, Jaguar’s communication team published a pair of photos showing a prototype of the British firm’s foray into the premium station wagon segment, the XF Sportbrake.

That was more than enough of an excuse for Ivan Martinovic from PS-Garage to grab his digital pen and theorize on the looks of the final production model that’s slated to enter production next year.

While the overall shape of the rear end looks to be spot on, we reckon that the tail lamps won’t be as prominent or large as seen on this speculative rendering.

The new Sportbrake will be offered with the same engine lineup as the regular XF saloon targeting the likes of the BMW 5-series Touring, Audi A6 Avant and Mercedes E-class Estate.
