A pair of photos showing a mildly updated Hyundai Tucson, also known as the ix35 in Europe, Australia and other markets, with a revamped snout directly inspired by the new Santa Fe, has been making the internet rounds on Korean forum boards.

The larger image appears to be showing an evolution of the ix35 FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) demonstrator, while we only get a peek of the nose of the other model.

Since we find it highly unlikely that Hyundai would facelift the fuel-cell model alone, we have good reason to believe that the same styling changes will be applied on the regular Tucson / ix35 models as part of a mid-life makeover.

Aside from the Santa-Fe-like six-point grille with chrome slabs, the model seen here also gets a revised bumper with new fog lamps and tweaked headlamps. It is possible that Hyundai made some changes to the crossover’s rear end as well, though there’s no way of telling from these images.

As always, we’ll keep you updated on any news we hear or see about the Tucson / ix35.
