Not all Batmobiles are made equal and this principle surely applies to the Bat car listed for sale on the German version of eBay.

The pictures of the DIY Batmobile more or less speak for themselves with the seller adding that a “very extravagant and futuristic artist and designer” built the strange looking contraption, and that it has won “several trophies at events”.

We are not told what car the Batmobile is based on, though, looking at the cropped photos of the interior, our guess would be a late 1970s or early 1980s, European market Ford Granada sedan (a predecessor to the Scorpio).

Batman’s dark ride measures around 7 meters (!) or 276 inches long and 2 meters or 78.7 inches wide and is powered not by an atomic blaster, but by a V6 petrol engine, which the seller states, “sounds like a V16” as he removed the rear silencer.

There’s also a small bike that adorns the rear section of the car.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about the German Batmobile is the starting auction price, which will probably make you shout, holly smokes: €30,000 or about US$38,900.
