Just like it did with the Korando, SsangYong has applied a facelift to the SUV’s commercial vehicle versions, called Korando CS and Korando CSX.

Available as a two-wheel drive model (CS) or four-wheel drive model (CSX), the commercial version of the Korando has a 433 kg (955 lbs) payload, a 1,312-liter load volume and can tow trailers of up to 2 tonnes (4,409 lbs).

The Korando CS and CSX have a flat load area accessed via a high lifting tailgate or two side doors. The load deck length is 1,525mm (60in), with 965mm (38in) between the wheel arches.

As with the Korando SUV, the commercial variant is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing 149PS (147hp) at 4,000 rpm and 360Nm (265lb-ft) of torque. Compared with the pre-facelift model, CO2 emissions have been reduced to 147g/km for the Korando CS and 157g/km for the Korando CSX.

SsangYong pitches the Korando CS and CSX as an ideal small delivery van for service engineers or simply a light commercial that can tackle any type of weather or terrain. The CSX version features a standard Torque on Demand 4×4 system and is equipped with ESP with Hill Start Assist, and mud & snow tyres as standard.

Prices start from £12,995 on the road (excluding VAT) for the CS and from £14,295 for the four-wheel drive CSX. The Korando CS is based on the passenger carrying Korando SE, while the CSX is based on the SE4.

Standard features include electric windows, tinted glass, leather covered steering wheel and gear shift, cruise control, as well as an MP3 CD & RDS radio with iPod & Bluetooth connectivity, remote audio controls and six speakers.
