Mitsubishi Brings The Facelifted 2016 Outlander Sport To LA

The brand’s “best-selling CUV”, as Mitsubishi likes to call the Outlander Sport, received some fresh touches for the 2016 model year, as it made its debut in LA.

These include an updated front fascia, with the “Dynamic Shield” front design concept, new heated power folding side mirrors with LED turn indicators, new 18-inch alloy wheels and three additional colors called Cool Silver, Diamond White and Quartz Brown.

In the cabin, all Outlander Sports come in standard with a redesigned leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt and telescopic functions, improved seat materials, new panel design for the AC, soft-touch instrument panel trim, a 4-speaker audio system, electric power steering, color LCD multi-info display, rear privacy glass, remote keyless entry with panic feature, high contrast meters, fuse system and a 60/40 split folding and reclining high-back rear seats with armrest and cup holder.

All trim levels get the 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder engine, which has the same output as beforeat 168 HP (170 PS), paired to a five-speed manual or a CVT. Mitsubishi’s All-Wheel Control (AWC) System is offered as an option.

The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has a starting MSRP of $19,595, the same as the outgoing model.
