An Infiniti Q30 with many special touches will be on display at this year’s London Art Fair.
The compact car had its exterior tweaked by Rachel Ducker, a contemporary artist known for her wired lifelike sculptures, who originally trained as a jeweler and discovered her fascination for working with metal.
Infiniti’s modified Q30 has received more than 48,000 copper tacks, all individually glued to the body, highlighting its “curvaceous and flowing shoulder lines“.
The sculpture, as Infiniti refers to the modified hatchback, will be revealed at the entrance of the show during the first Press and VIP day, on January 19, and it will remain on display throughout the public days too, between January 20 and 24.
Besides the redressed Q30, Infiniti will also have, in a premiere, a display stand in the Photo50 area, where “photographic artwork taken by several social media influencers during a recent test drive of the Q30 in Lisbon” will be displayed.
The firm’s stand will be located on Gallery Level 2 of the London Art Fair 2016 and specially invited VIP guests of the event will be chauffeured in Infiniti cars.
