Ahead of the company’s relaunch at the Geneva Motor Show in March, Apollo Automobil has dropped a teaser image of its very first model.

The company has surfaced from the ruins of Gumpert and at Geneva, will reveal a new Apollo supercar currently codenamed the Arrow. At this stage, it is unclear if the car in question will be based around the original Gumpert Apollo or if it will in fact be completely bespoke and bare no resemblance to its spiritual predecessor.

As for the teaser image itself, it is difficult to say with certainty just what it shows. With that being said, we’re inclined to say it is one of the exhaust pipes, exiting out of the rear decklid similar to the Porsche 918 Spyder. If we are indeed looking at an exhaust, then it seems as though the new German supercar is mid-engined.

Additionally, the picture seems to show a prominent roof scoop adding weight to the possibility of it having a mid-mounted engine driving either the rear wheels or all four wheels.

Expect more details about the 2016 Apollo in the coming weeks.
