A classic Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider with a small-block 350 stuffed under the hood is not your usual find when scouting eBay.
The car is far from being in tip-top condition and the seller advertises it accordingly. This in fact is an amateur build that happened about 20 years ago.
According to the description, the previous owner performed the surgery, installing a Chevrolet 5.7-litre V8 with a matching Turbo 350 automatic gearbox, seats from a 1967 Camaro and a rear live axle from Ford.
The engine sits on what appears to be a Ford frame while the seller also mentions that the car is tubbed which indicates that this little Alfa may have been used in drag racing. And there is no roof left in the car.
On the bright side, the body is advertised as rust free and the strong engine runs great. The tires though are old and in need of replacement. The seller also admits that the Toyota brakes are inadequate and also need to be replaced.
So this is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Some purists might get angry the blasphemy of someone hacking a beautiful Giulietta Spider, others might find their perfect project car.
