The Mercedes-Benz E300e plug-in hybrid is now available in the United Kingdom in two trim levels and with plenty of standard gear.

The entry level SE version starts at £47,450 ($60,488/€53,295) and features 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, illuminated door sills, keyless-go, Active Park Assist with front and rear parking sensors, and electrically adjustable front seats.

Standard equipment of the E300 SE also includes ambient lighting (with a choice of 64 colors), light carbon-grain aluminum trim with the center console in black open-pored ash wood, a widescreen cockpit, four USB ports, touchpad with controller and blind spot assist.

Paying £49,945 ($63,668/€56,097) gets you the E300e AMG Line. This flavor includes specific AMG exterior styling, 18-inch five-twin-spoke alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, AMG steering wheel with touch control buttons, and black open-pore ash wood trim with Artico Dinamica leather upholstery.

The Premium, Premium Plus, Night and Comfort packages are all available as an option, priced at £2,395 ($3,053/€2,690), £4,395 ($5,603/€4,936), £595 ($758/€668) and £1,895 ($2,416/€2,128), respectively, while driving assistance gear includes the Lane Tracking package (£595/$758/€668) with Active Lane Keeping Assist.

The Driving Assistance Package (£1,695/$2,161/€1,904) adds Active Brake Assist, Active Lane-Change Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Distance Assist Distronic and Active Speed Limit Assist, Pre-Safe Impulse Side and Pre-Safe Plus.

Powering Merc’s hybrid saloon is a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine that delivers 211 PS (208 hp / 155 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque paired to a an electric motor with 122 PS (120 hp / 90 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft). The car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h (155 mph).

The 13.5 kWh battery, which can be charged from 10 to 100 percent in less than 2 hours via a 7.4 kWh charger, or in under 4 hours from a standard household socket, offers the E300e a maximum zero emissions range of up to 50 km (31 miles).
