2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Gets Fresher Looks, Keeps Same Heart

Prototypes of the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace have been on the road since December of last year, but none of them came with massive brakes, beefy spoilers and quad-exhaust systems. Those features are reserved for the sportiest F-Pace version, the talented SVR.

And that’s exactly what we have here with the F-Pace SVR undergoing tests in Germany at the Nurburgring, a location that not even people haulers can afford to neglect nowadays.

Like previous updated F-Pace prototypes spotted in the wild, the warmed up SVR model is also heavily camouflaged. Still, SVR-specific features stick out like a sore thumb: large split-spoke wheels, more capable brakes with contrasting calipers, pronounced front and rear spoilers, and of course, the previously-mentioned tailpipe setup.

Visual changes will mirror those of the rest of the 2021 F-Pace range, meaning restyled headlights, a new grille, different taillights and new light signatures too – a familiar recipe, one that was applied last year to the updated Jaguar XE sports sedan and will also influence the design of the 2021 XF.

Inside, we anticipate changes to the infotainment system and perhaps the dashboard layout as well (including the steering wheel and gear selector).

Then there’s performance, which is a key word when it comes to any SVR-badged Jaguar. The F-Pace is no different, and we expect it to hold onto its current 5.0-liter supercharged V8, which right now produces 550 PS (542 HP) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic gearbox helps send all that grunt to all four wheels, allowing you to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds (0-60 mph in 4.1 sec). Whether this new 2021 version will feature more power or better acceleration, remains to be seen.

You can buy a 2020 F-Pace SVR in the U.S. right now for upwards of $80,600, a price point that’s unlikely to change much once the facelifted version hits showrooms, possibly towards the end of the year.
