Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder Pumped Up To 1,035 HP For Over $100,000

The Audi R8 V10 is one of the final naturally-aspirated supercars on the market but for owners looking for some added performance, adding a pair of turbochargers is the way to go. Say hello to the latest R8 V10 modified by the crew over at Wheelsandmore.

The 5.2-liter V10 engine of the Audi R8 is an absolute fire-cracker but there’s only so much power you can get from a naturally-aspirated engine. For its latest upgrade package, the tuner fits a pair of turbochargers, water and charge air coolers, and tweaks with the ECU so the car now churns out 1035 hp and 737 lb-ft (1000 Nm) of torque.

To make sure this boosted engine works as efficiently as possible, a Capristo exhaust system is featured. Additionally, the transmission has been tweaked to handle the extra grunt and continues to send power through all four wheels.

Off the line, Wheelsandmore says its R8 V10 Spyder can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.7 seconds and while that may not be much quicker than a standard car, the added power really becomes apparent as speeds start to increase. Ordinarily, it takes an R8 V10 approximately 11 seconds to hit 124 mph (200 km/h) but this twin-turbo one can hit the same mark in a mere 6.3 seconds. It also sprints to 186 mph (300 km/h) in just 14.2 seconds and won’t stop accelerating until it hits 221 mph (357 km/h).

As you can imagine, this upgrade package isn’t cheap, priced from a cool 79,000 euros (US$88,694). Those wanting to fit the supercar with a set of wheels from the tuner will need to cough up an extra 13,210 euros (US$14,831) lifting the total to over $100,000.
