Mercedes introduced the facelifted A-Class in October and now it’s time for the CLA to shine.

The automaker is keeping details under wraps, but confirmed the facelifted four-door coupe will debut on January 18th.  Besides announcing the date, Mercedes released a shadowy teaser that gives us a glimpse at the car’s updated taillights.

While there isn’t much to see, previous spy photos have revealed the model will have a new front bumper and updated headlights.  We also wouldn’t be surprised to find a new grille and restyled wheels.

The modest changes will continue in the cabin as the model will follow in the footsteps of the A-Class and adopt a streamlined center console that eschews a touchpad controller.  Other updates will likely include a new steering wheel, a fingerprint sensor, and the latest MBUX infotainment system.  They should be joined by trim and upholstery updates as well as a streamlined equipment list.

We’ll learn more details later this week, but we can expect a revamped engine lineup that embraces mild-hybrid technology. Choices will likely include a 1.3-liter four-cylinder with outputs of 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS) and 161 hp (120 kW / 163 PS). We can also expect a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 187 hp (140 kW / 190 PS) and 221 hp (165 kW / 224 PS).  They’ll be joined by diesel and plug-in hybrid options as well as more powerful AMG variants.
