• Hyundai has quietly introduced the 2026 Venue.
  • It drops the Limited trim, but gains a better equipped SEL.
  • The base price has climbed from $20,200 to $20,550.

The Hyundai Venue largely flies under the radar, but year-to-date sales were up an impressive 20% at the end of the third quarter. While that only equates to 23,728 units, there are a number of changes for 2026.

One of the biggest updates is the elimination of the range-topping Limited. It began at $23,450 and was notable for having a more upscale exterior with LED lighting units, heated exterior mirrors, and an available contrasting black or white roof.

Limited buyers would also find a fancier cabin with heated front seats and a wireless smartphone charger. They were joined by an 8-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation.

With that trim now gone for 2026, buyers will have to make do with the Venue SEL. It’s not all bad news as the model incorporates a number of features from the departed Limited.

This includes heated mirrors and an available contrasting roof, which knocks $225 off the sticker price as it eliminates the sunroof. Buyers will also find heated front seats and a wireless smartphone charger.

Given the extra equipment, it’s not surprising pricing has climbed from $22,200 to at least $22,600. That’s an increase of $400, which sounds like a small tradeoff for the upgrades.

The entry-level Venue SE carries over and it starts at $20,550. That’s $350 more than last year’s model, but the destination fee has climbed from $1,495 to $1,600 across the lineup.

Speaking of small, the 2026 Venue is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 121 hp (90 kW / 123 PS) and 113 lb-ft (153 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an intelligent variable transmission, which sends power exclusively to the front wheels.

That’s hardly a thrilling combination, but the Venue is focused on value and comes equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, rear drum brakes (on the SE), and a torsion beam rear suspension. Buyers will also find a relatively basic interior with analog gauges and manual climate controls.

That being said, there are a number of driver assistance systems including Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection. The entry-level crossover also has cruise control and Rear Occupant Alert, while the SEL adds Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning.
