• Lancia created a new HF-inspired watch with Eberhard & Co.
  • Only 360 units of the limited-edition timepiece will be made.
  • It uses a Selita SW200 movement with a 38-hour power reserve.

Lancia was once one of motorsport’s most formidable names, only to drift into mediocrity with a lineup that felt directionless, and that’s putting it mildly. Now, after years of dormancy, it’s showing signs of life again, reviving the HF Integrale name and stepping back into the rally world with something to prove.

Now that the brand has become at least mildly interesting again, or at the very least, vaguely hopeful, it’s chosen this moment to launch a limited-edition watch. Created in partnership with Eberhard & Co, the watch marks the return of Lancia’s legendary HF logo and will be limited to just 360 pieces.

As car-branded watches go, this one keeps things refreshingly simple, which might be its biggest strength. It’s housed in a 41 mm stainless steel case, just 10.45 mm thick (thinner than a Rolex Submariner, for those comparing) and runs on a Selita SW200-1 11½ self-winding movement. The power reserve clocks in at 38 hours.

Watch What Lancia’s Up To Now Instead Of Launching Real Cars

Water resistance is rated to 50 meters, which means it can handle splashes, rain, and light swimming, but it’s not suited for diving or extended submersion. Additional details include a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and polished, conical skeleton hands filled with Superluminova for nighttime visibility.

No doubt the highlight is the slanted HF logo, but the red details on the seconds hand also catches the eye. Shoppers will be able to purchase the watch with either a blue, white, or black sunburst-finished dial.

Found on the back of the watch is the Lancia logo and a serial number. The watch will be offered with a vintage leather strap with red stitching or a stainless-steel bracelet.

For those who don’t know, Eberhard & Co has been around for more than 135 years, meaning it’s actually 16 years older than Lancia. The new watch was first unveiled several months ago but sales of it have only just started.

Each dial variant will be capped at 120 pieces, and availability is limited to select Eberhard & Co. authorized retailers. Pricing starts at €1,980, or about $2,320 at current exchange rates.

Earlier this year, Lancia brought the HF badge back from the dead with a spicy new variant of the Ypsilon. This new model is powered by an electric motor with a spritely 276 hp and 255 lb-ft (345 Nm) of torque, enough to send the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.6 seconds.

Admittedly, this new model has nothing on iconic models like the Delta HF Integrale, but it’s at least a step in the right direction.
