- Optional upgrades add lift kit, quad mufflers, and chassis bracing..
Japanese tuning house AutoExe has built its reputation on sharpening up Mazda’s styling and dynamics, but its latest package pushes into more adventurous territory. Designed for the CX-60, this new kit brings a bit of rally-bred attitude to Mazda’s largest SUV.
The Active XRoss CX-60 was showcased at the Tokyo Auto Salon, adding a rugged flavor to the SUV. Starting from the exterior, highlights include the fender extensions with dummy bolts, the rugged skid plates with an aluminum-style finish, the matte black grille, and the rear spoiler extensions.

For those looking to lean further into the off-road look, AutoExe offers optional matte black decals for the hood and flanks, red mud flaps, protective overlays for the door handles, additional LED units integrated into the front bumper, and window visors.
Interior changes are more restrained. The centerpiece is a flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, complemented by carbon trim, matching paddle shifters, and an aluminum shift knob.

The demo vehicle rides on a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels from Rays, wrapped in Toyo Open Country all-terrain rubber. Furthermore, it is fitted with an optional AX suspension lift kit, adding 25 mm (1 inch) of extra ground clearance.

Those interested in more than just cosmetics can also choose from several chassis enhancements. These include a motion control beam, along with newly developed tower, cross, and arm bars to improve structural rigidity. For the engine bay, AutoExe adds a carbon air intake and suction kit, while a quad-exit sports muffler lends the CX-60 a louder voice.
While most of these upgrades should fit across the CX-60 lineup, the show car is based on the range-topping plug-in hybrid. This version pairs a 2.5-liter SkyActiv gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh battery pack, producing a combined 323 hp (241 kW / 327 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque.
