The Jaguar I-Pace family has been updated with the launch of a new Black variant.

Jaguar’s new I-Pace Black is based on the HSE model but gets some features that are usually optional on the S, SE, and HSE. For example, it comes with the available Black Pack that includes gloss black on the wing mirror caps, grille, grille surround, side window surrounds, and rear badges.

Other features of the I-Pace Black include gloss black 20-inch five-spoke wheels, a panoramic roof, and privacy glass for rear-seat passengers.

“The I-PACE’s dramatic, cab-forward profile, short overhangs and taut, muscular haunches give it a sense of drama which sets it apart from other SUVs,” Jaguar design director Julian Thomson said. “Creating the exclusive I-PACE Black gave us the opportunity to subtly enhance the design, making it look even more dynamic, distinctive and desirable.”

The I-Pace Black is offered with the same range of colors as standard models, including Aruba and Farallon Pearl black premium metallic paints. Found in the cabin are Ebony leather sport seats, an Ebony headliner, and gloss black trim finishers.

All I-Pace Black models come with the dual-motor setup that produce 394 hp and 513 lb-ft (696 Nm) of torque, allowing it to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. The 90 kWh battery pack can be charged in 12.75 hours using a 7 kW wall box and 8.6 hours via an 11 kW wall box, while 100 kW DC chargers can add up to 127 km (78 miles) of range in just 15 minutes.

Buyers in the UK will be able to order the I-Pace Black from £72,445 (~$101,000).
