Why is my comment held for moderation?

While most on-topic and non-abusive comments from registered users are published immediately, some comments may be held for moderation by Disqus. This includes posts from ‘guest’ accounts, comments with hyperlinks or images, those containing foul language, comments that have been repeatedly edited, or posts flagged by other users as toxic.

What about Spam?

Comments may occasionally be flagged as spam for various reasons, including but not limited to: using a signature across multiple comments (e.g., adding a name or website link repeatedly), unusual or incorrect syntax, posting identical comments multiple times on the same page or across sites, or including excessive links, numbers, or special characters.

When will my comment be published?

Most comments will be reviewed by our human moderators. However, due to the limited capacity of our team, please note that there may be delays in the review process, especially during nights, weekends, and holidays.

We ask for your patience and kindly request that you refrain from posting screenshots of comments in the moderation queue. Any such screenshots will be deleted, and repeated offenders may face a ban.

A few simple guidelines to remember:

  • 1. Stay on topic. Do not spam with repeated, unrelated comments
  • 2. No name calling, insults and personal attacks to other commentators and article authors
  • 3. Keep it civilized. Don’t use offensive language or profanity
  • 4. Do not harass other posters and be respectful toward other contributors
