• Lamborghini is recalling seven Revuelto plug-in hybrids.
  • The cars might not show images from the rearview camera.
  • This only appears to happen under specific conditions.

The Lamborghini Revuelto starts north of $600,000, but that doesn’t mean the high-performance plug-in hybrid is immune from recalls. Quite the opposite as a handful of models have an issue with their rearview camera system.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, seven Revueltos from the 2024 and 2025 model years may not show images from the rearview camera due to a software issue. This means they fail to comply with federal safety standards related to rear visibility.

The safety recall report says the issue can happen if drivers quickly shift into reverse within one second after turning the engine on or off. That’s a rather specific scenario, but it can cause the ECU to “exit the camera display logic.”

Lamborghini first noticed the issue last May and began investigating. Last month, they pinpointed the problem to “one specific software version and car configuration,” and then worked to identify the number of vehicles impacted.

Thankfully, there are only seven in the United States but all of them are believed to have the defect. On the bright side, the fix is pretty simple as dealers will simply update the rearview camera software. Owner notifications are scheduled to go out on March 26.

In the meantime, owners can continue enjoying the car’s advanced powertrain that consists of a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, three electric motors, an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a lithium-ion battery pack. This setup gives the Revuelto a combined output of 1,001 hp (747 kW / 1,015 PS) as well as a top speed in excess of 217 mph (350 km/h).
