Is That a Rocket or Did a Car Just Shoot Through the Road?

To answer our own question, yes, that is indeed a vehicle literally preparing for lift-off, which you see in the above screenshot – just don’t ask us to identify the brand and model because it happened so fast, that we barely see that it’s an automobile.

The YouTube author says the incident took place this month (despite the date on the video saying 2011) in Novosibirsk, Russia’s third most populous city after Moscow and St. Petersburg.

We don’t have a clear picture of how this accident came to be, nor what happened later (you never know though, as dash-cam videos from a couple cars back may pop up on the internet soon if they haven’t done so already and are waiting to be discovered), but it looks like the driver hit a bump or something on the road, lost control and went over the medium.
