Have you ever noticed with certain used-car ads that owners make it a point to state that their vehicle has never been on a track? There are plenty of good reasons to as why many buyers hesitate to drop their hard-earned cash on a car that has seen any type of racing action – see this video for just one example.

The owner of the fairly-new 2011 BMW M3 sedan had just entered the Columbus Motor Speedway in Ohio for the ‘Drift Movement April 2014’ session, and 15 seconds later, he smashed it into one of the protective (?) tires.

I can’t say why the tires were placed there, but it seems that they caused more harm than good…

To his credit, the driver took the hit like a champ lifting his fist in the air as the crowd cheered on, despite the damages to his car.
