Renault Sport’s latest commercial evolves around the Clio R.S.16 concept, which was created for their 40th anniversary.
What makes it so special is the powertrain of course, with Renault squeezing the turbo 271 hp 2.0-litre petrol engine from the Megane RS together with its six-speed manual gearbox under the compact body of the Clio.
Our spies were able to catch a prototype running around a few weeks ago, which gives away Renault’s intentions of making the R.S.16 a reality, albeit one that’s probably be produced in limited numbers.
The funny ad shows an average guy being blown away by the driving experience of the Renault Clio R.S.16 to the point where he doesn’t want to give the car back. The video is titled “Can you imagine yourself at the wheel of this beauty?” and while the company hasn’t confirmed anything yet, rumors say that a production version of the Clio R.S.16 will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show.
